What made you start blogging?
I used blogging as an escape really, when I was doing my final year at university, I just had so much I wanted to say and get of my mind so I just made a blog to start writing, it was very standard and I left it for months and months after… Over the last year I picked it back up and I’ve grown an insane amount of passion for both the event inspiration side (what I did at university) and for the lifestyle part.
Do you prefer blogging on your own or doing collaborations with other bloggers (if you haven’t done any collaborations would you like to?)
I haven’t had many collaborations YET, I do like working with people that’s what I’m really here to do, so yeah I would like to work with more and i’m looking forward to doing so in the future.
What do you like blogging about?
I love event design and venue reviews, that is because it is my calling and my future business…but I love writing about everything lifestyle, it is more me and what people can relate to, I want to inspire and motivate people.
What do you like to do other than blogging?
You mean there’s more to life than blogging? Only joking..I love doing anything and everything, I either like to relax & binge watch films and eat loads of my favourite things or I just love going out with friends and family and doing something new. I have to keep myself busy all of the time so you will often find me doing one thing or another.
Do you think it would help new bloggers grow themselves if they did vlogging also?
It all depends what you want from being a blogger, it isn’t necessary at all… I personally think doing both would take up a lot of time, as we all know blogging alone is very time consuming and I’m sure vlogging is too… I do hope to start a YouTube channel myself for when I go travelling but I want to be able to balance both things… if I did them both full time it shouldn’t be a problem. Grow your individual platforms first and focus on one thing at a time x
How long have you been blogging for and how long do you want to continue doing it for?
I have blogged since uni so 2 years? Like I said I left it for months on end and really picked it back up and fell in love with it for a little over a year…. I think I will blog forever (seriously) No matter what it will always be a thing on the side or potentially a full time thing, who knows?! The event business I plan to have will certainly be involved with influencers and hopefully my blog is where my client base stems from.
What makes you motivated to writing blog posts?
Reading other peoples blog posts & seeing successful bloggers do incredibly well. It honestly amazes me how useful the blogging world is now, it’s literally taking over and I’m happy to be a part of it even if it is just a teeny tiny part of the internet, it is mine and I am so proud of it.
What is your ultimate goal in life?
To own ‘Eyeful Events Co’ – I have always wanted my own event business so that is my ultimate goal. I strongly believe my blog is helping to network with the right people in all aspects of the industry to allow it to happen in the next 5 years. With a successful business comes a lot of other things that I aim aiming for, that includes supporting family and living a spontaneous/adventurous life.
If you could relocate to anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I’m going to say Australia because I am doing just that in April… It’s a one way flight so I could be gone a year, 2 years or however many more after… it has always appealed to me, it’s quite literally a dream turning into reality and i’m very excited… otherwise it would be America, I see myself in New York.
If you had all the money in the world and were financially stable for the rest of your life, what would you do with your time and money?
Family first, I owe everything to my parents for sure so I would get them anything they wanted and I would want to make sure they tick of everything they wanted to do on their bucket list, Buy their dream homes and let them retire. Obviously look after the rest of the family and my closest friends.
I would invest in homes, refurbish them and sell them on, This has been another dream of mine for later on in life – I want to design my forever home and have it built like they do on Grand Designs.
Invest in making my business outstanding
Charity work for sure, I would want to put a system in schools/work places in regards to social media, mental health and bullying…
